Arnica montana, a yellow-orangish flower that grows in the mountains of Europe and Siberia. It’s sometimes called the “mountain daisy” and is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties. Menthol is made from the oils of mint and when applied topically to the skin menthol produces a cooling sensation. Menthol does not lower the temperature of the body or skin. Instead, it produces a cooling effect by blocking the calcium current along the nerves responsible for detecting temperature.

This essential oil comes from the eucalyptus plant that is native to Australia. Used in that country for centuries by the Aboriginal tribes for its numerous healing properties, it has been found to provide pain relief to swollen, aching, arthritic joints.
